Bersatu supreme council member Wan Saiful Wan Jan has cautioned the leadership against exerting excessive pressure on him and other members under disciplinary investigation, warning that it could provoke “undesirable reactions”.
ADSThe Tasek Gelugor MP said this included revealing who had communicated with their political rivals.
“We know who received millions (from them). But we haven’t exposed them so far. So don’t push too hard - there might be a reaction,” he added.
Wan Saiful (above, second from right) said this after giving his statement to the disciplinary board at Bersatu headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.
He was commenting on a rumour that certain individuals were behind Bersatu's ongoing internal rift.
Offer to defect
Wan Saiful claimed that he had also been approached with an offer to defect from Bersatu.

They found that what I said (in the Dewan Rakyat) was not confusing.
"It means that all these things really happened. If I were to accept any offer from that individual, I would have done that last year," he said.
Wan Saiful said he had rejected the offer because he still loves Bersatu.
Regarding the disciplinary hearing, the leader said it was conducted briefly, and he had given his side of the story regarding allegations against him.
However, Wan Saiful declined to reveal the content of the session, citing party discipline and to protect Bersatu's dignity.
"I try to avoid giving particulars. We are not like some people who like to spread rumours across the country. We love our party, so we will take care of it," he said.
‘Black ops’ strategy
Adding further, Wan Saiful condemned certain groups in Bersatu who he claimed were using a “black ops” strategy to attack others in the party on social media.
"We are different. We follow the due process. We don't use the media or social media to attack others," he said.
Bersatu secretary-general Azmin AliWan Saiful also expressed his disappointment at being accused of attacking the party when he criticised Bersatu secretary-general Azmin Ali.
He said criticisms against an individual should not be construed as going against the whole institution.
Wan Saiful yesterday claimed he had been summoned to face the committee chaired by Radzi Abdul Manan to answer for his “attacks” against Azmin.
The Bersatu disciplinary committee had initially summoned the Tasek Gelugor MP on Sept 25 - of which proceedings were later postponed.
Prior to the initial proceedings, it was reported that Wan Saiful had been summoned to face the board for collecting statutory declarations, ahead of Bersatu’s annual general assembly earlier last month, for an alleged attempt to push for party president Muhyiddin Yassin’s resignation. - Mkini
