Akmal Should Have B Lls To Protest Outside Umno Hq If He S Unhappy Over Trump Visit To Kl

“IF YOU have the b*lls, protest in front of UMNO HQ (headquarters). Better yet, have the b*lls to change current UMNO leadership.”
That was the challenge issued by former MIC Puchong division chairman Awtar Singh to rightist UMNO Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamasd Akmal Saleh.
In a TikTok video, the similarly outspoken Awtar argued that the Merlimau state assemblyman’s anger at US president Donald Trump’s impending visit to the Malaysian shores is misplaced.
Video Player00:0003:23For context, Akmal, took the opportunity for more grandstanding and political posturing by protesting against the detaining of Malaysian activists/volunteers involved in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) humanitarian mission.
In this regard, the Melaka state EXCO for Rural Development, Agriculture and Food Security had threatened to mobilise protestors during Trump’s presence at the 47th ASEAN Summit on Oct 26-28 if the said activists were not released.
Editor’s Note: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has revealed that the 23 Malaysian volunteers have since departed Israel at 6.45pm Malaysian time yesterday (Oct 4) and have safely arrived in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Back to his clip, Awtar pointed to the fallacy of Akmal venting his spleen at Trump when in fact the US President was visiting at the behest of Malaysian government. In short, he was invited to come by the Madani administration, of which Akmal’s party – UMNO – is part of.
Henceforth, shouldn’t the staunch race/religion defender and his merry band of dissenters stage noisy, belligerent protests outside UMNO HQ? As UMNO is well-represented in ministerial positions, Awtar contended that the party would have been consulted and had given their input over the invite.
Better yet, if Akmal is in such disagreement over Trump’s visit, Awtar who was sacked by MIC in Aprul 2024 for his constant attack on the Madani government, challenged the former to change the current UMNO leadership.
He further branded the Akmal’s calls to have massive demonstrations during Trump’s visit as “stupid”.
“Why protest in front of Donald Trump? Protest in front of UMNO office or protest in front of PMX’s office in Putrajaya. Or even (UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad) Zahid Hamidi’s office,” snubbed Awtar.

US president Donald Trump is slated to be in Malaysia to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit on Oct 26-28 Throwing down the gauntlet, the former Subang Jaya City Council member reckoned that if Akmal and his cohorts were indeed courageous and brave, then they should contemplate exiting the coalition government immediately to signal their discontent over Trump’s visit.
“Get your Youth wing members to go to UMNO HQ, hijack the building and change the leadership if you really have the b*lls,” challenged the prolific Madani critic.
“Our economy is in the drain. We don’t need this aggravation with people picking fights, stepping on flags and causing police to arrest people. To what end are these protests?”
Admittedly saddened by the on-going Gaza conflict, Awtar nevertheless felt that Akmal is barking up the wrong tree.
Undoubtedly, the on-going Israel-Hamas conflict means there should have been serious apprehensions about inviting the US top gun to an official visit to these shores.
But Awtar does make a valid point – the invite did come from a government in which UMNO is part of.
Hence, Akmal’s anger should be directed internally and not just at the world’s most powerful person by virtue of his controlling the world’s largest economy. – Focus Malaysia
