Warisan Leader Cites Article Of Armizan Meeting Billionaires
A Warisan leader raised more questions surrounding the alleged involvement of Domestic Trade and Living Costs Minister Armizan Ali in the Sabah mineral licence scandal.
ADSWarisan Youth chief Terence Au cited a “viral article” that revealed a meeting between Armizan, Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor, and two billionaires from a major mining company.
He claimed the article revealed that the two tycoons landed at Kota Kinabalu International Airport in a private jet on May 13 last year, and brought with them “eight blue luggages”.
“But this matter (in the article) cannot be verified by any party.
“Following that, the public has demanded an explanation from Armizan on whether he had, on May 13, 2024, together with Hajiji, met with the two billionaires?” said Au (above).
Malaysiakini is withholding the names of the two tycoons and their company pending an official response.
Contacted for comments, Armizan said, “There is no need to speculate and create a perception. Just ask them (Warisan) to report to the MACC.”

Domestic Trade and Living Costs Minister Armizan AliThe Papar MP also reiterated his initial response to earlier claims by Warisan, that he is ready to cooperate with the authorities in any ongoing investigations.
Au also claimed the article revealed that a Malaysian company linked to the two tycoons had submitted five applications to mine coal in Sabah.
“Therefore, Sabahans are asking whether it was true that the chief minister, through Sabah Mineral Management Sdn Bhd, had given the company initial approvals for five licences to mine coal in Sabah?” he said.
Malaysiakini has contacted Hajiji’s office for comment. - Mkini
