Wan Azizah Denies Pkr Suffers From Denial Syndrome
PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail says it will be up to the party’s election committee to decide if any of the polls should be postponed due to technical problems. (Bernama pic)JULAU: PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail today refuted her women’s chief’s claim that the party was plagued by a denial syndrome as the party polls continue to face problems
Wan Azizah, who is also the deputy prime minister, said members should stop “imagining” that there were problems in the party
“There is no denying (of anything). If there is something then the party will take note,” she said when visiting the Rumah Rengayan Anak Ngumbang at Nanga Ruyak here today
Wan Azizah was asked to comment on Zuraida Kamaruddin’s call for the party leadership to wake up from its “denial syndrome” and seriously look into the possibility that the PKR elections were being sabotaged
uraida, who is contesting for the vice-presidency, said that the issue required immediate attention as it could spoil the polls
Wan Azizah said she hoped for clean and fair elections where candidates would refrain from using government machinery or abuse their posts in government to intimidate voters
“We want this selection to be carried out smoothly in which members can make their choices independently
“Let the elections be held in a healthy manner,” she said, adding that the elections would culminate on Nov 10 at 29 divisions in Sarawak
However, she admitted that there were internet-related problems which affected the e-voting process in several divisions, including Julau
Wan Azizah said she would leave it to the election committee to decide if any of the polls should be postponed due to technical problems. - FMT
