Twelve Parties Align In Loose Coalition Against Madani Shortcomings Mic S Participation Unconfirmed

PN has acknowledged that several political parties have submitted requests to be part of the coalition, either as full members or associates.
According to PAS Deputy President and PN Supreme Council member, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, the matter was raised by PN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmi Ali during a recent meeting.
“There are indeed a number of parties that have submitted applications. Some wish to become members, while others prefer to be friends of PN. For now, we will review them one by one at the PN Supreme Council meeting,” he said, adding that any parties, including NGO are welcome to join in PN’s struggle.
Tuan Ibrahim was speaking to the media after officiating the Muktamar Dewan Pemuda PAS Malaysia at Kompleks PAS earlier today. Pressed on whether the applications included component parties from BN, he declined to elaborate.
“That is still confidential. Let’s wait until we make an official announcement,” he said.
Reports had previously noted that 12 parties agreed to form a loose alliance to push issues they claim the MADANI government has failed to address, including promised reforms.
Alongside BERSATU, the grouping consists of PAS, GERAKAN, PEJUANG, MUDA, the Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP), PUTRA, Barisan Jemaah Islamiah Se-Malaysia (BERJASA), the Socialist Party of Malaysia (PSM), the Malaysian Advancement Party (MAP), and the National Indian Muslim Alliance Party (IMAN).
Also involved is Bersepakat Hak Rakyat Malaysia (URIMAI), which is still awaiting official registration as a political party.
Separately, PAS Youth Chief, Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden, revealed that invitations were extended to various political parties to attend the Muktamar Tahunan PAS Pusat, including MIC. He said invitations had been sent to MIC’s leadership as well as its youth wing.
“As far as I know, they accepted the invitation, but this morning I was informed there was an obstacle that prevented them from attending. I am not sure of the reason, perhaps someone advised them not to come,” he said.
Afnan further explained that while the invitations were open to many parties, UMNO was not on the list of those invited to the Muktamar. — Focus Malaysia
