A Vertical Destination Above the CloudsSuspended within the world’s tallest hotel, Ciel Tower, TATTU Dubai is a multi-level hospitality concept designed by Studio WYZE that fuses architecture, mythology, and sensory experience. The project transforms three sky-high levels into an interconnected journey — from the dragon’s strength to the carp’s serenity and the phoenix’s rebirth — creating one of Dubai’s most ambitious restaurant and lounge experiences.
Studio WYZE’s London and Zurich teams approached the interiors as a narrative of ascension, designing each floor with its own symbolic creature and distinct mood. Together, the trio of venues — the Restaurant & Bar, Sky Pool, and Sky Lounge — embody a seamless evolution of energy, materiality, and atmosphere across altitude.
The Restaurant & Bar – The Duality of the DragonOn level 74, the TATTU Restaurant & Bar explores the yin and yang of the mythical dragon. This is where duality defines the experience: light and dark, strength and elegance. The main dining area is enveloped in a rich, moody palette of charred Japanese cedar, veined marble, and amethyst glass, while the bar and lounge contrast with whitewashed timber, onyx, and pewter surfaces.
A sculptural ceiling evokes a dragon in motion, sweeping fluidly across walls and columns to unify the space. Floor-to-ceiling glazing floods the room with skyline views of Dubai Marina, The Palm, and Jumeirah, grounding myth in urban reality. At sunset, lighting sequences heighten the drama, shifting the tone from refined dining to atmospheric nightlife.
The Sky Pool – Tranquility of the CarpTwo floors above, the 76th level houses the world’s highest infinity pool, inspired by the carp — a symbol of perseverance, grace, and transformation. Here, Studio WYZE creates a serene daytime retreat suspended amid the clouds.
The design language contrasts the dragon’s theatricality with softness and fluidity. Aqua tones, glazed ceramics, pale timber, rattan, and flowing off-white fabrics compose a palette of calm. The pool deck flows into a circular DJ booth and an open-air cocktail bar, establishing a rhythm of relaxation by day and energy at dusk.
The terrace’s edges dissolve into the skyline, allowing guests to feel part of the horizon. Lush planters and shaded lounges temper the sun, blending natural comfort with refined luxury.
The Sky Lounge & Terrace – Rebirth of the PhoenixCrowning the experience on level 81, the Sky Lounge & Terrace channels the myth of the phoenix — symbolizing renewal and elevation. A curved birdcage-like ceiling arcs above a glowing pink onyx bar, the sculptural centerpiece that commands attention from every angle.
During the day, it serves as an elegant cocktail lounge suffused with natural light and soft textures. By night, it transforms into a high-energy destination framed by deep marbles, fabric-fronted bars, and warm ambient lighting.
The 360-degree terrace, fully air-conditioned, provides unmatched panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline. With plush seating, exotic plantings, and glowing lanterns, the terrace becomes a surreal rooftop orangery — an escape that floats above the city’s intensity.
Design Language & PhilosophyStudio WYZE approached TATTU Dubai as an immersive, multi-sensory narrative rather than a conventional hospitality fit-out. Each floor operates as a distinct “chapter,” bound by shared craftsmanship, symbolism, and atmosphere.
The Dragon embodies balance through contrast; the Carp expresses serenity through flow; the Phoenix captures transformation through light. Together, these layers form a vertical symphony of design — one that engages the senses, tells a story, and connects guests to the mythic spirit of the brand.
The project demonstrates how interior architecture can transcend function to create emotional resonance. It is not just a place to dine or drink — it is an experience that unfolds through movement, light, and storytelling.
The Pinnacle of Experiential DiningTATTU Dubai represents the evolution of Studio WYZE’s approach to narrative design — a hospitality landmark where material artistry, cultural symbolism, and urban spectacle intersect. Rising through Ciel Tower’s crystalline structure, it captures the essence of modern luxury in motion: immersive, elevated, and timeless.
This is dining reimagined for the era of the vertical city — where myth meets modernity and architecture becomes a vessel for experience.
