Sabahans Ready To Topple Hajiji Change State Govt Muhyiddin
Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin has claimed that the people of Sabah are showing readiness to bring change and topple the Chief Minister Hajiji Noor-led government
He said this confidence was based on the support shown by Sabahans during Bersatu’s programmes in the state.
According to him, the sentiment shown towards Bersatu was not merely due to the solidarity sparked by the passing of student Zara Qairina Mahathir.
“Wherever I went in Sabah recently, the response was extraordinary… the situation in Sabah is already ready to change. The people of Sabah want renewal and change.
“Hajiji, the traitor who abandoned us, must be toppled, and the people of Sabah are ready to topple him. There has been widespread corruption committed in the state of Sabah,” he said during his winding-up speech at Bersatu’s annual general assembly in Shah Alam today.
‘Hajiji has failed’
Bersatu vice-president Ronald Kiandee also expressed confidence that Sabahans are prepared to change the state government once again.
He said Sabah has long been known as a state where government leadership frequently changes, especially as Hajiji has failed to resolve longstanding issues and the people’s problems.

CM Hajiji Noor“The issues of electricity, water, roads, video-recorded admissions of corruption, mismanagement of mineral extraction contracts - the Sabah government is now plagued with a chain of problems that must be cured immediately.
“If we look at history, Sabah is a state that often sees government changes. So, we will repeat the same thing.
“That is why they (Gabungan Rakyat Sabah) are pushing the narrative that Sabah must be led by a party born from the state,” said the Sabah Bersatu chief during his winding-up speech.

The Beluran MP also mocked Hajiji for failing to “wrap up” Bersatu in the state after defecting with 24 of the party’s division chiefs.

Bersatu veep Ronald KiandeeAt a press conference later, asked whether Kiandee will be named as Perikatan Nasional’s candidate for Sabah chief minister, Muhyiddin said, “Possible, but we have not discussed that yet.”
“When the time comes, we will announce it,” he added.
The five-year term of the 16th Sabah state assembly will expire automatically on Nov 11, paving the way for the 17th Sabah state election. - Mkini
