(Prolintas pic)PETALING JAYA: Highway concessionaire Prolintas joined hands with the Selangor road transport department (JPJ) to raise awareness about road safety among school students through its road safety advocacy carnival at SMK Seksyen 18 Shah Alam recently.
Prolintas COO for project and operations Rostam Shahrif said the company is the largest highway provider in the Klang Valley. As such, it was its responsibility to promote good road ethics among highway users, he said.
“These values need to be instilled in teenagers through continuous involvement with the JPJ to have future road users who are ethical, responsible and law-abiding,” he said.
Rostam added that this was not the first time Prolintas had teamed up with Selangor JPJ. They had first worked together on a safety campaign in 2018.
“Prolintas is pleased to continue the programme this year. This is evidence of the effectiveness of the previous programme,” he said.
