Kisah Benar Scam Siber Over 4 Million Malaysians Reached Through Real Life Scam Stories
CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi) and Media Prima’s recent
collaboration to intensify scam awareness nationwide through TV3’s iconic crime
show 999, have reached over 4 million Malaysians. The three-month Kisah
Benar: Scam Siber series turned real scam cases into relatable stories.
The 13-episode series unpacked
different types of online scams including love scam, fake job, phishing,
deepfake fraud and fake investments. The series shed light into the evolving
scam tactics, red flags and the emotional toll experienced by victims to help viewers
understand various types of scams and fraudulent activities. Each episode reminded
viewers to be constantly vigilant and provided expert insights on ways to avoid
falling victim to online scams.
The campaign was also
extended online, reaching more Malaysians through short videos and full
episodes on Tonton. It sparked nationwide conversations to encourage safer
digital habits. This initiative is part of CelcomDigi’s ongoing fight against
scams and fraud and the company’s commitment to building a safer and trusted digital
society.
Through strategic partnerships
with media, enforcement and government agencies, expert groups, and community
