Indira Gandhi To Lead Justice March On Nov 22 Hand Over Abducted Daughter S Teddy Bear To Igp
FURIOUS with the inaction of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in resolving her woes after 15 years of waiting, kindergarten teacher M. Indira Gandhi will personally lead a “justice march” from SOGO Kuala Lumpur to the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters on Nov 22 – a 4km walk that symbolises a mother’s unbroken journey for truth and justice.
The mother at the heart of Malaysia’s most enduring custody and conversion battle will be pushing her youngest daughter’s stroller – filled with the latter’s toys and clothes – as a silent message that despite Federal Court orders, promises and repeated assurances from the authorities, Prasana Diksa (now 17) remains unrepatriated and justice remains undelivered.
The justice march demanding the immediate return of Prasana who was 11-month-old when abducted by her Muslim convert father Muhammad Riduan Abdullah @ K. Patmanathan is organised by the Indira Gandhi Action Team (INGAT) in collaboration with Hindu NGO Agamam Ani Malaysia (AAM) and other civil societies.
“This peaceful, lawful march is being held to personally hand over a TEDDY BEAR that belongs to Prasana and serve the fresh committal suit papers (filed in the Ipoh High Court) on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) over his continued failure to enforce the Federal Court order to re-unite Prasana with her mother,” enthused INGAT chairman Arun Dorasamy.
“The march symbolises the failure of enforcement, erosion of institutional accountability and the silent suffering of countless parents denied justice due to bureaucratic inaction.”
According to Arun who is also the Agamam Ani Malaysia legal director, an official notification will be made to the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters (IPD) to facilitate traffic coordination and ensure the march remains peaceful, orderly and in full compliance with the law.
“It is deeply disappointing that while a fugitive who defied the Federal Court continues to enjoy digital aid eligibility under BUDI95 (Budi Madani RON95 petrol subsidy package) and SARA (the one-off RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah cash assistance), the Malaysian justice system still cannot enforce a mother’s right to see her daughter,” lamented the social activist.

“This march is not an act of defiance – it’s an act of faith. Faith in justice, in the Federal Constitution and in the conscience of Malaysians.”
Apart from insisting that Riduan who is believed to have re-married is still living within the Malaysian borders, INGAT which suspected that the former is being protected by “extremist religious groups” has also recently raised the bounty for information leading to Riduan’s arrest to RM50,000 from RM10,000 previously.
“We’ve also identified Riduan’s potential hide-outs to be in the vicinity of Pasir Puteh (Kelantan), Sintok (Kedah), Penang, Perlis as well as a possible exit route via lorong tikus (illegal routes) to Southern Thailand,” Arun has recently penned on his Facebook page.
