PETALING JAYA: The son of a leader in Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISBH) was among five people arrested while attempting to leave the country today, says Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain.
He told FMT that the Northern Zone Border Intelligence Unit detected two motorhomes with the GISBH logo and Dubai licence plates at the Malaysia-Thailand border about 6pm today.
“Further observation showed the vehicles were moving towards the Bukit Kayu Hitam immigration, customs, quarantine and security complex, headed for Thailand.

The five men arrested included the son of a GISBH leader. They are aged between 28 and 41 years, he said.
Razarudin said police seized both vehicles and were conducting preliminary investigations and documentation for those detained.
Those arrested and the seized vehicles will be brought to the Kubang Pasu police headquarters for further action, he said.
Bernama also reported Razarudin as saying that three suspects in a sodomy case linked to GISBH would be charged at the Seremban sessions court tomorrow.
He said the suspects would be charged under Sections 14(a) and 14(b) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for physical sexual assault.
Section 14(a) of the Act pertains to touching any part of a child’s body, while Section 14(b) pertains to making a child touch any part of a person’s body.
“The first suspect will face five charges, one under Section 14(b) and four more under Section 14(a).

The second suspect will be charged with six counts under Section 14(a) and the third suspect will face three charges under Section 14(a), Razarudin said.
Last Wednesday, police raided 20 welfare homes – which they had linked to GISBH – in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
According to police, 402 children were rescued and investigations showed that at least 13 of them were allegedly sodomised or taught to sexually assault others.
The authorities also arrested 171 people, including an ustaz and a hostel warden.
GISBH later denied operating the welfare homes and rejected claims that children under its care were sodomised or forced to sexually assault others.
However, GISBH’s CEO Nasiruddin Ali admitted that cases of sodomy had occurred within the organisation in the past, and that these cases were only discussed internally. - FMT
