Game Over For Anwar Ibrahim
In September 2020, Anwar requested an audience with His Majesty the Agong so that he could inform the Agong about his “strong, formidable and convincing majority”. And Anwar was going to prove this “strong, formidable and convincing majority” by sabotaging Budget 2021 and by making sure it gets defeated in parliament.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Thursday, 26th November 2020, was supposed to be Muhyiddin Yassin’s last day as Prime Minister. On Friday, 27th November 2020, Anwar Ibrahim was supposed to drive to Istana Negara so that Seri Paduka Yang di-Pertuan Agong can swear him in as PM9.
Yes, many believed that would happen. But then they probably forgot many of Anwar’s previous “cry wolf” episodes as well.
On Thursday, 26th November 2020, Muhyiddin Yassin was legitimised as Malaysia’s prime minister
In September 1998, Anwar said he has tape-recordings and six boxes of evidence of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s transgressions, wrongdoings and corrupt acts and that he will soon be revealing them. That was more than 22 years ago but thus far nothing has happened.
Ten years later, in September 2008, Anwar said 30 members of parliament from Barisan Nasional were going to defect and cross over to Pakatan Rakyat — and that on 16th September he was going to form a new government. Nothing happened then as well.
Then came “Langkah Kajang” or the “Kajang Move” in 2014, which was going to see him take over Putrajaya. He could not even become the Menteri Besar of Selangor let alone Malaysia’s prime minister.
“Langkah Kajang” was followed by “Langkah PD” or the “PD Move” in 2018, which was supposed to make Anwar the Prime Minister by 2020. Again, he is still waiting.
Finally, in September 2020, Anwar requested an audience with His Majesty the Agong so that he could inform the Agong about his “strong, formidable and convincing majority”. And Anwar was going to prove this “strong, formidable and convincing majority” by sabotaging Budget 2021 and by making sure it gets defeated in parliament.
Anwar is nothing but a con-man who has been taking Malaysia for a ride for the last 30 years
That was supposed to have been Anwar’s last and final shot after so many blank shots. Anwar migrated from PM5-in-waiting in 1991 to PM6-in-waiting, PM7-in-waiting, PM8-in-waiting, and now, PM9-in-waiting.
It is now coming to 30 years and he is still in-waiting.
Thursday was basically Anwar’s final shot at becoming prime minister. As they say, that was when all the planets were aligned. If Anwar could not do it by Thursday, then he will never be able to do it, ever.
Whether Anwar can accept reality or not is another matter. However, accept it or not, it is already game over. The window opened on Thursday and closed back at the end of that day. Anwar had to either grab that opportunity on Thursday or lose it forever. But Anwar did not grab it, so he has lost it forever.
Bapak dan anak sudah kantoi
Oh, and one more thing. When Lim Guan Eng was finance minister, he mocked Kelantan and made fun of the fact that Kelantan had no money and could not survive without federal help. Today, we find out that Penang actually took RM2 billion in secret loans and without these secret loans Penang would be worse off than Kelantan.
And his father, Lim Kit Siang, keeps talking about the ‘kleptocrat’ Najib Tun Razak while his own son has so many corruption cases against him. Malays say, Kit Siang can see a microscopic germ 10,000 miles away but cannot see an elephant in front of his face. Tak malu sungguh apek ini.
