Viral Video Shows What A Newspaper Delivery Boy Can Do With 17 Years Of Experience

WHICH is more important? Qualification or working experience? For some employers it is the latter and for others, it is a combination of both.
But perhaps the best argument comes from a recent video on X by netizen @PicturesFoIder who showed what peak performance looks like as a newspaper delivery boy.
According to the netizen, the boy had 17 years of experience delivering newspapers and we do not doubt it.
From the video, the boy could be seen flicking the paper at high speed, where they landed with such precision. Some even entered the narrow gap beneath the door of a customer.

This employee definitely deserves a raise. But looking at the poor neighbourhood in which he is operating in and his profession being considered, it is likely that he is struggling to make ends meet.
Regardless, the internet was very supportive towards him. “Bro’s not a paper boy anymore, he’s a paper legend!” said @youngblesstmoni.
Also, the video brought out fond memories for @MFrNiceIsLife who said, “Throwing papers was so much fun, hard work. But it was so fun folding, rubber banding and throwing papers with all the boys in the neighborhood. Extorting your neighbors for subscriptions. Cool memories. Thank you.”
Then there was netizen @aixarizzo raising a vital question, “Wait, people still read newspapers in 2025?”

Towards this, @Undius replied that even though newspapers are in a rapid decline, around 20 to 25% of the population in the US and UK still read their news from the papers.
“In India it’s still more than 50%,” he added. The most convincing validation perhaps came from a comment by @ghwishnu.

The questions remains, however, if such a profession can be allowed to exist in a world that is becoming more and more digitised. A paper boy who throws accurately is no longer needed when news can be delivered, anytime, anywhere, into the palm of one’s hand.
Regardless, we are certain paper boy’s talents will find much use, in a circus, perhaps. — Focus Malaysia
