Viral Choir Video Sparks Outrage For Allegedly Waving Israeli Flag

WHEN the whole world, or at least most of it is rooting for the Palestinians who are suffering in Gaza, some people would go against the grain to support Israel.
It is unthinkable, considering all the atrocities which were widely covered by the international media. 
We would expect this coming from a country like America, perhaps, but Malaysia? Take it from a recent video post by netizen @KroniRakyat on X which purportedly showed a Malaysian choir team waving the flag of Israel while they sang.

Things like these are bound to get viral and for good reasons too. The video which was originally found on TikTok received widespread attention, where a good number of netizens suggested they be caught by the authorities for being traitors. 
But is that the full story? Several netizens pointed out that the video was old and some others suggested that it had been edited using AI. 

Take for example, @syahsyahrul88 who said viewers need to check the fluttering flag on the left. Apparently there were discrepancies on it that suggest digital tampering.
Netizen @Witch_was_Bitch further suggested that the law should deal with AI related matters while @burungbiru00 said slander through AI is becoming more widespread.

No further information could be derived from the video or the world wide web regarding this choir team. But one thing is clear. Netizens shouldn’t simply viral a video without sufficient evidence.— Focus Malaysia
