READING the news about animal abuse, we can only wonder how some people can commit such atrocities and have a peaceful sleep. For many of us, we cannot even imagine the act of cruelty, much less perform it. 
But the reality of the internet allows such despicable acts to be seen in all its harshness, without the filter given by traditional media.
Take it from a recent video where a man is caught in the act, killing and hurting two cats before disposing of them at the doorsteps of a resident.

According to netizen @update11111 who brought the video to light, the incident likely took place at Blok 16 Pangsapuri Melati, Taman Bukit Subang.
Netizen @Mymann139474 who watched the video wanted information on the offender, stating that he should be stepped on by many people.
“Pity the cats. Hopefully his soon-to-be cellmates treat this the way he treats the cat,” added @coffeevshotchoc.
Then there was @AmirulDaini89 suggesting that this was among the traits of a serial killer.
Interestingly, the animal abuser had his supporters too. @ariff_kama27259 said this was why cat owners must make sure their cats do not urinate and defecate everywhere.
“Don’t make your neighbours lose patience. Blame yourself before blaming them,” he said.

On another note, is cruelty to animals a feature of psychopathy. “Originally animals are our neighbors on this planet. The mother of a cat or the mother of a dog is also a mother with the same emotions and worries, so a mentally healthy person never thinks of harassing a kitten or puppy or killing other animals,” said the International Archives Of Health Science website.
According to the website, animal abuse can be a sign of the onset of other abusive and antisocial behaviors.
The behavioral pattern of this personality disorder is aggression, devaluing, and violation, and may begin in childhood and continue to adulthood.
