Vast Forest Fire At Bukit Jelutung Captured In Viral Video

LOCATED away from the Pacific Ring of Fire , Malaysia is blessed not to experience destructive earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes and any other types of natural disasters mother nature could cook up.
The only disaster we have here is racism and human incompetence. But recently, a viral video on X revealed that perhaps, we are not spared after all. It was a scene from hell where fire could be seen spreading across a green landscape.
According to netizen @MyBktJelutong who posted the video, this unbelievable scene was located at Bukit Jelutung. The video can be found at: https://x.com/MyBktJelutong/status/1983521925692592568
In hindsight we would have thought that it was a forest fire happening somewhere in the United States.
The Utah 2025 wildfire in Salt Lake City which destroyed more than 160,000 acres of land comes to mind. But in Malaysia?
“Thanks PM for d zionist hell of fire,” said netizen @KZLi10, attributing the disaster perhaps, to Anwar Ibrahim welcoming the President of the United States.

“Are the fire fighters not doing their work,” wondered @FadhliRahimMd while @keshvinsidhu sarcastically said that perhaps Malaysia is starting to send our local wood to the United States.

For a better perspective, news media Malay Mail reported that an estimated six acres of forest in the Taman Perdana Heights area caught fire at Jalan Pulau Angsa U10/2 at about 4pm.
“Upon arriving at the location 12 minutes later, the operations commander found that an area of 0.8 ha had been burnt and extinguishing work was immediately launched with help from the Kapar and Sungai Buloh fire stations,” said Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar.
“With a force of 18 officers and personnel, 80 per cent of the fire zone was extinguished at 6.05 pm and the latest finding at 6.30 am showed that the size of the gutted area was 2.4 hectares,” he was reportedly quoted by the Malay Mail. — Focus Malaysia
