Severing Ties With Dap Is Timid Threat Just Pull Out From Madani Gov T If You Ve The Guts Umno Told

SUCH is the reaction from detractors after Selangor UMNO Youth pulled on a tirade by staging a year-end celebration banquet alongside a memorandum submission in front of the service centre of Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin yesterday (Dec 23).
The protest is not unexpected from Bossku diehards after the DAP lawmaker having likened disgraced former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s failed house arrest bid to “a cause for celebrating the forthcoming New Year”.
Interestingly, the protest is denounced by the UMNO grassroots on various social media platforms as ‘toothless’ to begin with as the demand was merely for the DAP national publicity chief to delete her ‘celebratory’ social media post lest “UMNO’s branch in the constituency would sever ties with Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the area”.
Aside from this, there is also a caveat placed by Selangor UMNO Youth chief Datuk Imran Tamrin: its protest has nothing to do with UMNO and Barisan Nasional’s (BN) stance at the national level.
“There’s no need to ask DAP or Bee Yin to apologise; just leave the (Madani) government to teach them a lesson,” insisted a presumably UMNO grassroot member in reaction to the deemed timid charade.
“That’s our weakness, they already know the weakness of the Malays – money and women.”

Many further mocked UMNO that the oldest Malay party “is destined to doom” if its dares to walk out from the Madani government.
After all, the insinuation that “MACC will standby in front of your door” is itself a clear signal that party president and Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has a sword of Damocles above his head by virtue of his DNAA (discharge not amounting to acquittal) from 47 prima facie corruption charges.

Celebrating justice
On social media sites of English language news portals, many seemingly Madani backers have come to Yeo’s defence with one urging “let’s also march to YB Yeo’s office and give her support. Let’s thank her for a good job done. Let’s sing carols there”.

One netizen went on to ridicule the so-called Bossku fans club members who sadly comprised UMNO’s Federal ministers and state level leaders be “very thick skinned” to defend a criminal associated with what is touted as “the world’s biggest financial scandal”.
Editor’s Note: The US Department of Justice deemed the 1MDB scandal as the “largest kleptocracy case to date” in 2016.
“When they do wrong, they are very thick skinned. But when the joke is on them, their skin suddenly becomes thin.”

As Bossku sympathisers continue to fume at Puchong MP Yeo – and to a certain extent the Kuala Lumpur High Court judge Alice Loke Yee Ching over her verdict which denied their 10-term Pekan MP his prison swap to house arrest – other Malaysians are celebrating and rejoicing the prevalent of justice.
