Rusila Mosque Raid Pas Mp Questions Mmea Personnel S Suspicious Manner
A PAS leader has raised further questions over Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) commandos' alleged training operation at the Rusila mosque in Marang, Terengganu.
This came after Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail dismissed the incident as a misunderstanding, claiming that six MMEA personnel had only stopped at the mosque during training to perform asar prayers.
Bachok MP Syahir Sulaiman, who is the political secretary to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, uploaded on Facebook a screenshot of a CCTV footage showing three men entering the mosque's women’s section "in a hurried and suspicious manner".
"Dato' Seri, it is not wrong to stop at the Rusila mosque to pray, but I just want to give some advice, please enter the mosque through the correct door," he said in the Facebook post this morning.
ADS"Back to your statement, even if they were only stopping at the mosque for prayer, was this the correct way? I leave it to the rakyat who frequently go to the mosque to judge," Syahir (above) added.

Perikatan Nasional chief whip Takiyuddin Hassan during a press conference on the Rusila mosque incident yesterdayHe claimed that during the incident, several vehicles and more than 10 men in plainclothes were monitoring from outside the mosque compound.
The three men who went into the mosque later ran out and got into a blue car that had just arrived to leave the scene, according to Syahir.
"It is understood that all these highly suspicious activities that look like a 'disguise, infiltration, and escape' (training) were carried out without any notification to, or permission from, the management of the Rusila mosque prior to the day of the incident," Syahir added.
Yesterday, Saifuddin dismissed an allegation that MMEA had carried out a simulation raid at the mosque, which is situated near Hadi's residence, and called for the matter not to be misinterpreted.

MMEA director-general Rosli AbdullahPrior to this, MMEA director-general Rosli Abdullah had also denied the agency was using the mosque as a training ground, saying it was merely a location for trainees to perform their religious duties prior to accepting their next assignment.
On Wednesday, Perikatan Nasional chief whip Takiyuddin Hassan claimed that the MMEA had conducted an exercise at the mosque - an action he compared to the 1985 Memali incident, a tragedy that occurred after the police tried to arrest PAS leader Ibrahim Mahmood and his followers.
Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat, Takiyuddin claimed that a group of 10 to 15 individuals entered the Rusila Mosque in five vehicles without permission, saying this led to fear and anxiety among the congregation. - Mkini
