Lawyers Rajesh Nagarajan and Sachpreetraj Singh said this is among their demands to ensure that the investigation into last month's shooting is conducted in a transparent and fair manner with integrity.
In a statement, the lawyers also called for public disclosure of the chain of command and operational justification for the Nov 24 incident, as well as independent oversight by external bodies on the police investigation into the shooting.

Police yesterday confirmed that family members of the three men shot dead have provided statements to assist in the investigation into the incident.
Federal Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk M. Kumar had also said that one of the family members voluntarily surrendered a mobile phone believed to contain an audio recording linked to the incident.
Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail on Sunday pledged that the probe into the police shooting would be carried out professionally.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim last week directed the police to conduct transparent, open and detailed investigations, without protecting any party, into the Durian Tunggal shooting in Melaka, as well as cases of custodial deaths in the country.
He also said that he had instructed Khalid to submit the report to Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution.
Earlier the same week, Bukit Aman's Criminal Investigations Department said it had taken over the investigation into the deaths of the three men shot by police in Durian Tunggal on Nov 24.
Kumar said a special team had been established to take full charge of the inquiry, including reviewing police reports lodged by the families of all three men.
This followed calls from the families, who dispute the police's version of events, for a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the incident. - NST
