Ratu Naga Surrenders Herself To Mcmc In Anthem Mix Up Row Clears The Air Over Her Honest Mistake

RATU Naga has defended her innocence over the “singing of Negaraku in Mandarin” row when “surrendering” herself to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) yesterday evening (April 7).
To her credit, the pro-opposition blogger whose real name is Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah said forensic investigation has vindicated her in that the video of schoolchildren singing the Perak state anthem “Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan” which she had initially mistaken as “singing Negaraku in Mandarin” did not go viral from her social media platform.
“They even admitted and are aware that the (original) video has been deleted at an early stage (within 10 minutes upon being uploaded) but became viral from the ID of Harun Shah (@Harunmohdshah1) (an account on X),” she clarified in a Facebook video.


“After all, I’ve already publicly apologised for my oversight on the matter for I believe that I’m duty-bound to seek forgiveness for my part in the misinformation to settle the issue.
“Nevertheless, there are still quarters who were adamant to make the video viral … Ironically, when I posed the question to MCMC if action will be taken against the person responsible in downloading and viralling my already deleted video, the answer is … (understand yourself, I’m too lazy to answer).”
(Editor’s Note: The post by @Harunmohdshah1 – a self-proclaimed anti-walaun (hardcore PAS supporter) – has since garnered 1M views apart from being widespread on “Malay WhatsApp groups” which prompted human rights activist and lawyer Siti Kasim to accuse Ratu Naga of “arbitrarily spreading hatred and slanders to incite racial discord”.
In fact, the furore against the former Wanita PKR information chief who was sacked from the party on April 9, 2020 was so intense that a police report was lodged against her under three laws as follows:

In addition to the anthem mux-up controversy linked to the Education Ministry, Ratu Naga said she has further addressed investigation papers opened against her pertaining to her social media remarks on three other ministries as follows:
Housing and Local Government Ministry (over her commentary on the proposed Urban Renewal Act);
Communications Ministry (for allegedly spreading fake news over the 20-year concession accorded to Lim Seong Hai Capital Bhd to operate and maintain KL Tower and its surrounding areas effective April 1, 2025); and
Economy Ministry (for allegedly fanning disunity over a viral post on the soon-to-be-launched natural gas roadmap to break up the monopoly of PETRONAS and Gas Malaysia Bhd).
