Place Mobile Vaccine Trucks At Public Markets Hannah Yeoh

Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh has called on the Federal Territories Ministry to place mobile vaccine trucks strategically in public places such as the Taman Tun Ismail Central Market (TTDI) to prioritise quicker vaccine rollouts for traders and their employees.
“(These traders) have to interact with thousands of market visitors and delivery men that might expose them to Covid-19,” she said in a statement issued earlier today.
The “Mobile Vaccine Truck” initiative launched by the ministry aims to improve vaccination rollout among residents in the federal territories which includes Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan.
Citizens are able to register themselves to be vaccinated on the spot.
These trucks are targeted to be placed in 67 identified locations and will be carried out in rotation throughout the federal territories.
Yeoh believes that placing these trucks in markets will also protect senior citizens who frequent the markets.

Meanwhile, Bakri MP Yeo Bee Yin (above) has demanded that the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) improve its data management system to register vaccination appointments for senior citizens.

This is in response to a recently introduced MySejahtera Helpdesk feature for senior citizens above 60 years old who have registered but have not obtained vaccination appointments.
“The data system is supposed to be able to identify those who are above 60 years old but still not vaccinated and their respective locations just from the age and location fields filled by them during the online registration process.
“This can even be done with (a) simple filter, sorting, and logic functions in Microsoft Excel, so why is the RM 70 million data system not able to do it?” she asked in a statement.
She also claimed that many people with disabilities or comorbidities who are eligible for Phase 2 in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme were not automatically given an appointment and instead had to manually apply for the programme. - Mkini
