Pkr Congress All Outgoing Incoming Leaders To Give Winding Up Speech

PKR National Congress today will see all its outgoing top leaders and the party’s new line-up be given the stage to address delegates.
The move, believed to be the first time in PKR history, comes amid rumours that elected leaders from the recent internal polls including deputy president Rafizi Ramli will be denied a speech despite being on the list.
A party source told Malaysiakini this morning that all 13 new and outgoing party leaders will speak at the final leg of the two-day congress.
This was confirmed by PKR permanent chairperson Ahmad Kassim during the start of the congress session today.
He announced that the event will start with incumbent PKR top leaders delivering their winding-up speech, including outgoing PKR Youth chief Akmal Nasir, outgoing Women's chief Fuziah Salleh and outgoing vice-president Tian Chua.
The new leadership will then be introduced on stage.
PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli"After that, we will start with winding-up speeches by the new leaders, starting with PKR Youth chief Adam Adli Abdul Halim, Fadhlina Sidek (Women's chief), four new vice-presidents, the new deputy president, and lastly, our party president Anwar Ibrahim," he said, to the loud cheers of party delegates.
"So, are all delegates and observers happy with the itinerary? Thank you.
"If so, please sit tight and listen to all the speakers up to our party president's winding-up speech," he added.
Earlier this morning, a news portal reported that PKR's top leadership last night decided to change the list of congress speakers to exclude the newly elected leaders.
This was despite them being on the list in the original programme itinerary. - Mkini
