(Bernama pic)PETALING JAYA: A forensic audit has led to only a few changes in the outcome of PKR’s leadership elections last month, party election committee chief Dr Zaliha Mustafa said today.
She said the audit found that there were attempts to hack the PKR election results, adding that the experts involved in the audit had recommended the party update its voting records.
However, the attempts to manipulate the results did not affect most of the winning candidates, at central leadership or division level.
The audit on the party elections was carried out in the wake of demands from various candidates who claimed discrepancies in the tallying of the results.

Fadhlina Sidek.At the central leadership level, one of the biggest changes is Dewan Negara senator Fadhlina Sidek defeating Batu Tiga assemblyman Rodziah Ismail for the Wanita PKR chief’s post.
Fadhlina won the post with 18,923 votes compared to Rodziah’s 18,891, giving the senator victory by a slim margin of 32 votes. Rodziah was leading in the unofficial results.
The top line-up of PKR’s central leadership council now consists of:
President: Anwar Ibrahim (won uncontested)Deputy president: Rafizi RamliVice-presidents: Amirudin Shari, Chang Lih Kang, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Aminuddin HarunWanita chief: Fadhlina SidekYouth chief: Adam AdliHowever, the result for the Ampang division chief’s post was not listed.
Fresh elections for the post were held after the initial result was nullified following allegations of vote-buying.
Daing Muhammad Reduan Bachok initially won the six-way contest for the post but was later disqualified from the fresh election held on June 29.
On Friday, actor-producer Hans Isaac claimed victory in the race for the Ampang PKR division chief’s post, but fresh claims of vote-buying later surfaced against him.
An aide from his office had denied the allegations, claiming these were attempts to ruin Isaac’s reputation and good name.
Full results of the central leadership and divisional races will be announced at the party congress. - FMT
