Pas Mocks Madani Gov T After Pmx Loosely Faulted Rushed Flawed Trials Of High Profile Cases Post 2018 Ge

WHO can blame PAS lawmaker Fadhli Shari for sarcastically echoing Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for insinuating flaws in the rushed prosecutions of high-profile cases following the May 2018 general election in the vindication of Datuk Seri Rosmah Mansor.
The Islamist party’s information chief has indeed capitalised on the Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman’s statement yesterday (Dec 21) to tease the then short-lived PH administration that “there are quarters that need to apologise to DS Rosmah”.
In a nutshell, PMX has gone on to describe the handling of cases involving political dignitaries post the 14th General Elections (GE14) May 2018 as driven by political vengeance while stating that he has no hands in the court ruling (judicial independence).

His remarks came after Rosmah who is the wife of incarcerated former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak was on Thursday (Dec 19) acquitted of 12 money laundering charges and five counts of failing to declare income to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
Judge K. Muniandy granted an order of acquittal after allowing Rosmah’s application to have all charges against her quashed. The application was based on the grounds that the charges were defective and failed to disclose the essential elements of the alleged offences.
Hailing her release as “a deserving birthday present”, the 73-year-old Rosmah – once touted as FLOM a.k.a. the First Lady of Malaysia – had filed the application to strike out the charges in September 2023.
“In the Dewan Rakyat, the name of the former PM’s wife was arbitrarily mocked by MPs over there. Just look at the Parliament Hansard dated Aug 8, 2018,” penned the Pasir Mas MP on his Facebook page.

“There was also a pro-PH cartoonist who is still littering on the internet with his drawings of the former PM’s wife with hair and a ring as big as her head on her finger.”

Fast forward to today (Dec 21), PMX himself stated here had been a hasty prosecution after the 2018 GE. Even the best Golden Globe Awards actors would be stunned to see this acting!”
Earlier, vocal UMNO Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh has expressed his gratitude to PMX for the latter’s “brave confession”.
“So, all the accusations against DS Rosmah in the past were just evil slander that wanted to bring down the previous BN (Barisan Nasional) government after she was acquitted of all the charges she faced a few days back,” he rejoiced in a FB post.

“Rosmah’s ring, Rosmah’s this, Rosmah’s that, all of them but today Allah has revealed the truth. Pity the family of DS Najib Razak who bear all these wild accusations.”
Whatever the case is, the very fact that PMX has not been discreet or specific to point out which case he was referring to that the then PH administration had erred – or he meant to refer to all high-level prosecution cases – has obviously sent a distorted signal to many PH loyalists who further believed that he should not have washed filthy linen in public in the first instance.
