Muslim First Or Muafakat First
DAP’s and Pakatan’s greatest fear is that Umno and PAS will prove them wrong — which is, under an Umno and PAS Muafakat the non-Malays and non-Muslims are going to suffer discrimination and persecution. If Umno can field a non-Muslim Chinese candidate in the Tanjung Piai by-election, and if PAS can support that move, then what is DAP talking about?

PAS should support PPBM’s candidate for Tanjung Piai since he is a Muslim, several Pakatan Harapan leaders said today

Barisan Nasional’s candidate for the Tanjung Piai by-election is MCA’s Wee Jeck Seng
PAS should support Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for the Tanjung Piai by-election since he is a Malay-Muslim, several Pakatan Harapan leaders said today. The Pakatan candidate for the by-election is Karmainie Sardini from PPBM while Barisan Nasional’s candidate is Wee Jeck Seng from MCA.
There is a hadith that says when judging between a Muslim and a non-Muslim, truth and justice must supersede race and religion. For example, if a non-Muslim testifies against a Muslim and has witnesses or evidence to support that testimony, while the Muslim has neither witnesses nor evidence, then the judgement has to be in favour of the non-Muslim.
Pakatan Harapan loves playing the race and religion card and then scream that they are the victim. This, in fact, is DAP’s favourite game. DAP says all sorts of nasty things about PAS and Umno but when they are accused of anything they will go crying to mama.
Lim Guan Eng receives a slap in the face when PAS-Barisan fields a non-Malay/non-Muslim candidate in the by-election
DAP said if Umno and PAS were to be in power, the non-Malays and non-Muslims would face discrimination and persecution. Non-Malays or non-Muslims would not be allowed to hold federal cabinet or state cabinet posts, Chinese schools will be closed down, non-Muslims will not be allowed to congregate to pray, and much more.
Then, suddenly, Umno and PAS fields and/or supports a non-Muslim Chinese candidate in the Tanjung Piai by-election. So how? Does this not contradict what DAP says?
In the past, PAS and Umno have been mocked and goaded not only by DAP and PKR but by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as well.
Mahathir has been using Islam to provoke PAS ever since the Memali incident in 1985
In 1990, after PAS had won Kelantan, Mahathir said PAS talks so much about implementing Islam whereas Malaysia is already an Islamic country. So why do Malaysians need PAS? Later on, Mahathir said Malaysia is a fundamentalist Islamic country. (Note the word “fundamentalist”).
That was when PAS tabled the RUU355 in the Kelantan State Assembly. However, the Federal Government blocked the Bill in Parliament. Hence the RUU355 could not be implemented although passed by the Kelantan State Assembly. (The RUU355 is not “Hadi’s Bill” as DAP is suggesting but actually “Nik Aziz’s Bill”).
In 1999, when PAS won Terengganu, Mahathir mocked them and asked them where are the Islamic laws that PAS promised the Terengganu voters? PAS then passed new Islamic laws or Hudud in the Terengganu State Assembly. But then the Federal Government, again, blocked that Bill. This Bill, in fact, caused DAP to leave the opposition coalition, Barisan Alternatif, in 2001.
Mahathir challenged PAS Kelantan to implement the RUU355 in the early 1990s and when they did Mahathir blocked it in Parliament
Mahathir, DAP and Pakatan Harapan have been playing up this race and religion issue for a long time now. While Mahathir, DAP and Pakatan Harapan accuse Umno and PAS of being racist and extremist, at every opportunity available Mahathir, DAP and Pakatan Harapan will play the race and religion card.
The success of the Muafakat Nasional between Umno and PAS is being demonstrated in the Tanjung Piai by-election and this is scaring DAP and Pakatan Harapan
