Checks on Facebook page of several mosques and surau found a list of SOP that had been lined-up and must be adhered to by the congregants.
At Masjid Al-Hasanah in Bandar Baru Bangi, the breaking fast and moreh (supper) will be held daily with packed meals.
The tadarus (reciting the Quran) with other members of the congregation is allowed in small groups, starting after Asar prayers until before breaking fast, while qiamullail (prayers after midnight), is allowed from 4am.
At Masjid Tun Abdul Aziz in Petaling Jaya, the mosque's management is encouraging congregants to take their wudhu (ablution) at home.
In a post, the mosque said those who had completed their vaccination (including booster) would be allowed to attend congregational prayers.
  It said the congregants must wear face masks and bring their own prayer mat as well as check-in via MySejahtera upon entering the mosque.
As for breaking fast, packed meals would be handed out via a drive-thru service from 5pm.
Masjid Ar-Rahah in Kampung Kerinchi also called on the congregants to abide by the SOP.
"The mosque hopes that with the flexibility given by the government, the congregants and the community in general will abide by the SOP and take care of their health as Covid-19 is still around."
On March 8, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that congregational prayer activities in mosques, surau and non-Muslim places of worship would be allowed without physical distancing starting April 1.
During Ramadan in 2020, Muslims were forced to perform the tarawih congregational prayers with their own families at home, while last year they were allowed to perform tarawih at respective mosques and surau according to the strict SOP set to curb the Covid-19 outbreak. - NST
