National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) deputy director-general (post-disaster) Mohamad Azhan Md Amir said all Covid-19 patients, as well as officers of various agencies at the PKRCs, would take part in the programme.
He said several country leaders were expected to be involved.
The public is also encouraged to take part in the 30-minute programme which would be aired on TV1 and TV3 from Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).
"During the pandemic, we need to spend more time practising the munajat and recite as many salawat.
"We as Muslims need to do to seek Allah's help to resolve this pandemic," he told reporters after visiting one of the centres at Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi Mara here today.
Also present were Nadma deputy director-general (operations) Meor Ismail Meor Akim and State Civil Defence Force director Zainuddin Hussin.
On another note, Azhan said a RM5,000 death benefit assistance had been distributed to the next-of-kin of 588 Covid-19 victims, which amounted to RM2.79 million.
"The 588 were among 818 applications that Nadma has received from next-of-kin of covid-19 victims as of June 11.
"The other applications are in the process. Nadma believes that many are still not aware of the existence of the Covid-19 fund as the number of those who died due to the pandemic in the country is more than 4,000 people."
On the food basket programme, he said about RM37.1 million worth of foods had been distributed to those affected by the pandemic. - NST
