Adam Radlan, wanted by the MACC to assist in the investigation of the MEX II Highway project, is believed to be abroad.
Sources said the MACC made the application after probing Adam Radlan's involvement in the MEX II Highway project.
MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed discussions with the Immigration Department had taken place following the disappearance of a prominent businessman's son-in-law.
He did not disclose whether the talks involved Adam Radlan's passport cancellation.
"There were discussions, but further details cannot be revealed at this time," he told BH.
Azam had previously said the 44-year-old politician is suspected to be overseas and will cooperate with the Immigration Department to trace him.

It is understood that Adam Radlan is being sought to assist investigations into the construction of the Putrajaya–KLIA Highway (MEX II), which runs from the Putrajaya Interchange to KLIA.
He was previously investigated in connection with the Jana Wibawa project but was acquitted of 12 corruption and money-laundering charges after paying a RM4.1 million compound. - NST
