Bersatu S Adam Radlan Urged To Return To Malaysia Amid Mex Ii Probe By Macc

THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has intensified its search for Segambut Bersatu deputy chief Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad, 44, who is believed to be overseas.
He is wanted to assist in a fresh investigation into the delayed MEX II expressway project. MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki announced the agency is collaborating with the Immigration Department to pinpoint Radlan’s location.
“We suspect he’s abroad. We urge him to return immediately to cooperate,” Azam said, as reported by Berita Harian.
Radlan, a prominent businessman, was fully acquitted in August of 12 charges tied to the Jana Wibawa programme, an economic initiative for Bumiputera contractors launched during the Covid-19 pandemic under the PN government.
The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court discharged him after he paid a RM4.1 mil compound under Section 92(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Charges included soliciting and accepting up to RM9.9 mil in bribes to secure projects for companies like MIE Infrastructure & Energy Sdn Bhd and Nepturis Sdn Bhd, plus laundering over RM3 mil.
The new probe links to the MEX II highway from Putrajaya to KLIA, delayed since 2016 due to financial woes. Maju Holdings director Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamed faces related CBT and laundering charges totalling RM452 million.
In a twist echoing high-profile cases involving Bersatu, the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan, remains a fugitive wanted for CBT.
He is reportedly living luxuriously in the Middle East on a foreign passport after his Malaysian one was revoked. — Focus Malaysia
