Transport Minister Anthony Loke inspects the situation a LRT station. - Pic credit Facebook lokesiewfookKUALA LUMPUR: Transport Minister Anthony Loke shared via his Facebook account that he went on yet another observation, survey and scouting mission to inspect and see for himself the situation along the Kelana Jaya LRT line and the Monorail during peak hours.
"This evening I went to see for myself the situation and scenario for the Kelana Jaya LRT line and the Monorail together with YouTuber @Lucas卢卡斯.
"I know and am aware of the LRT service disruption in the evening just now because of technical problems and issues. This caused the trains to move at a slower pace and left many passengers waiting for long periods at the stations which also resulted in trains that were very packed and congested.
"The technical management team of Rapid Rail are working very hard to restore services as soon as possible. All the trouble and inconvenience faced by the passengers, commuters is very much regretted," he wrote in his Facebook post that was uploaded at around 8.30pm.

Loke took the opportunity to express gratitude to the auxiliary police personnel and to the staff who helped passengers and commuters at the station platforms.
"The Transport Ministry and Prasarana will continue to step up efforts to overcome the technical problems, issues and glitches faced in order to stabilise operations and services," he said.
In his New Year's message on Jan 1, Loke had pledged to continue to go to ground to listen and gather feedback from public transport users, operators, and the business community.
He said the government will strive to provide better connectivity and improved transport solutions for all Malaysians.
"Maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety is paramount for all our public transportation systems such as the LRT (Light Rail Transit), MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu), public buses, seaports, and airports," he said. - NST
