Levi S Reinvents And Reimagines Their Archives For Fall Winter 2022

With an archive that stretches back 149 years, it’s no surprise that the Levi’s® of the past often provides inspiration for Levi’s® of the present. And that’s especially true for the Levi’s® season Fall/Winter 2022 collection, which is being called “Archives Reinvented.” Reflections on popular Levi’s® fits and styles of the ‘80s, ‘90s, and early 2000s are a huge part of the Fall ’22 lineup and exploring the Levi’s® archives has been an essential element of that.

The other big inspiration for the season is amplified proportions. Now that everyone is back out in the world, getting dressed feels fresh and fun again. And Levi’s® wants to steer into that with a range of fits and styles that really let people get creative when it comes to shape, silhouette, texture, and style. Whether you go small on top, big on the bottom, the other way around, shape has never been more creative, experimental, and fun. And while there’s a nostalgia vibe for sure, it’s all reimagined through a totally modern and silhouette-shifting lens.

Ultimately, it’s a collection that will be impossible not to fall in love with. Mixing our reimagined icons with both classic and fresh new styles that can be worn in a seemingly infinite number of combinations. And best of all, it’s just a way to have fun.

Women’s
Silhouettes are continuing to loosen up this season for women, while proportions are amplified. In denim, references to the ‘80s, ‘90s, and 2000s play out in a range of new fits. The Baggy Dad features a mid-rise with a waist that rests on the hips, and a looser seat with a slight taper leg. It’s a baggy jean that doesn’t sacrifice on polish.

Beyond denim, utility continues to be a major theme, playing out with a new fit called the Dad Utility. The Dad Utility will be coming to stores in August, featuring a looser fit, but with a straight leg inspired by classic carpenter pants.

Men’s
On the men’s style front, Fall ’22 is all about our Levi’s® archives reinvented. In denim, the focus is on straighter and more relaxed fits. Classics like the 501® Original and the 505 mix with more recent interpretations like the 501® ’93 jean and the 551z, which made its return last year.

Our 551™ Z Authentic Straight Jeans are a callback to 1962, when we introduced our first-ever relaxed, and anti-fit denim. Available in 4 different dyes, they feature signature stitching one inch away from the seams and a wider J-stitch at the fly. Stacking at the hem and a distinct “anti-fit”—a slightly looser cut that stands in opposition to slimmer and skinnier styles in the seat—make these vintage-inspired jeans the perfect pair for the skatepark.

On the other hand, our Stay Loose Jeans are a portal back to the groundbreaking, gritty street style that ruled the ‘90s. Providing an eye-catching, wide-leg silhouette for people who are bold enough to go big on style.
