Khairuddin Dropped As Pas Syura Council Secretary Hadi

After being dropped from PAS’ central committee last month, Kuala Nerus MP Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali has now been removed as the secretary of the party’s syura council.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang confirmed that the former plantations industries and commodities minister is no longer part of the council.
"His appointment as the secretary was made by the PAS central committee and the committee has revoked the appointment," Hadi said when met by the reporters in Marang today.
"So, he is no longer a member of syura council. To become a secretary of the council, one has to become a member of the council first. So, (he's) dropped from the council and removed as the secretary," he added.
He said the decision was made yesterday.
Last month, Khairuddin was removed as PAS central committee member. He was defeated in the party polls that took place in November last year.
Khairuddin is among a group of leaders who are opposed to Hadi's strategy of forging stronger ties with Bersatu under the Perikatan Nasional banner, which is causing tensions with Umno.
They prefer the Islamist party to consolidate their alliance with Umno under Muafakat Nasional.
Other leaders aligned with Khairuddin include Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz and Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki.
The trio were purged during the party polls but were reappointed into the supreme council in a show of unity.
However, Khairuddin's sacking highlights that the fissure in PAS is persisting over its tussle between Umno and Bersatu.
Taking to social media, Khairuddin warned against any effort to embarrass someone over and over again.
"Don't embarrass someone over and over again. The individual may remain silent and patient the first time. But when one's dignity is tarnished and violated repeatedly, they won’t stay silent forever.
"Everything has its limits. Don't go overboard because the consequences will be very bad," he said yesterday.
Despite not naming any particular individual, it is believed that Khairuddin was referring to his latest sacking as the PAS syura council secretary. - Mkini
