It Was Muhyiddin S Policies That Avoided Major Health Economic Crises Says Azmin

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia averted major health and economic crises due to the sound policies of Parti Pribumi Bersatu (Bersatu) Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali (pic).
The Bersatu supreme council member said the proactive economic stimulus package and large-scale vaccination programmes introduced by Muhyiddin managed to put the country back on the track of a strong and resilient economic recovery and averted a major health crisis.
"In fact, Malaysia was acknowledged as an efficient and responsible country in managing the pandemic," the International Trade and Industry Minister said in a Facebook post Friday (June 17).
He said business-friendly policies introduced by the government then managed to create jobs and progress for the people, with robust investment activities post pandemic.
"Bersatu is a party which has its roots in Malay and bumiputera identity to safeguard the rights of the Malays and Islam. However, as a political party, it is far-sighted.
"The party knows the reality of Malaysia as a country of various races and religions and Bersatu embraced the reality and was brave enough to change the party's constitution to celebrate the diversity and strengthen the democratic norms of the country.
"I would like to stress that the idealism and principles of the struggles of Bersatu are in me, and we will work together with the party's members to create a government which is clean, of integrity and committed to good governance," he said.
Azmin added that Bersatu was the only party in the country that will fight for social justice and progress for all.
The post comes after Muhyiddin rubbished speculation that Azmin and Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Rashid Hasnon were quitting Bersatu on Tuesday (June 14).
Muhyiddn said he was close to Azmin and had recently discussed plans for the future together and not about exiting the party. - Star
