How Is The Tamat Darurat Committee Going To Convince The Agong To End The Emergency

The media team in the PMO in Putrajaya is so weak that I fear the “Tamat Darurat” committee will be able to convince the Agong that the Emergency has “negative impacts” on the rakyat while the government still sleeps and fails to prove otherwise. Then do not blame the Agong if the Emergency is lifted and Parliament is convened (and a vote of no confidence is passed against Muhyiddin — which is the real reason why they want Parliament to sit). NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong has consented to grant the opposition’s “Tamat Darurat” committee an audience to hand over a petition calling for the end to the Emergency.
I personally do not care either way whether the Emergency is cancelled or extended and whether Parliament remains suspended or is resumed. And this is because there are no quality debates and discussions in Parliament anyway. Parliament is being used just as a gelanggang to maki hamun and call each other names.
All these years, nothing good or of benefit to the rakyat comes out of these Parliament sittings. Parliament is there merely to create an impression that Malaysia is a democracy and that Parliament is, kononnya, part of that democratic process.
Let us be very clear about it: Parliament exists not to serve the 32 million rakyat but to serve the political party in power. And if you believe otherwise, then you are more stupid than you look.

The real objective of the “Tamat Darurat” committee is to oust Muhyiddin Yassin, not to help the rakyat The real reason the opposition wants Parliament to convene is so that they can attempt a vote of no confidence against Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin — and so that Anwar Ibrahim can take over as PM9 with the backing of Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and the “court cluster” in Umno (at one time back in the 1980s known as “Team B”).
Anyway, how is the opposition going to convince Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong that “the negative effects of the emergency are getting clearer every day” (to quote Khalid Samad)?
“The aim of the audience is to inform the King of the negative impacts of the emergency and the need to call it off for the sake of the people,” reported FMT. (Why do these people not get it into their heads that the Agong is not a King but the First Amongst Equals of the nine Raja-Raja Melayu…sigh…).
Okay, so the Emergency has “negative impacts” on the rakyat. What are these “negative impacts”? Can the “Tamat Darurat” committee share the findings of these studies with us? Who did the study? Are these people who did the study qualified and have done such studies before?
The last time Pakatan Harapan said negative things about the government and the government policies they were proven all wrong in the end. So, we need to know whether the study which the “Tamat Darurat” committee did to arrive at the conclusion that the Emergency has “negative impacts” on the rakyat is credible.

Are the anti-darurat allegations fake, just like the anti-GST allegations before this? For example, they once said if the GST is abolished then the price of goods and services will come down and the cost of living for the rakyat will be far cheaper. However, after abolishing the GST, this did not happen. Instead, the government lost tens of billions in revenue, and they had to sell off numerous Bumiputera-owned assets to cover the deficit.
Then they said they will abolish toll charges on all the highways throughout Malaysia, but discovered they could not do it after all because the cost to the taxpayers will be higher than the toll charges. Hence the government will end up losing money instead of saving money. And the worst thing is, the taxpayers who are not using the highways will end up paying for the compensation to the highway concessionaires.
Too many times we have seen the opposition make claims and allegations that, in the end, have proven to be nonsense. So let us see the study that the “Tamat Darurat” committee did that shows the Emergency has “negative impacts” on the rakyat. And can they publish this study so that the rakyat can share these facts?

Let us see whether the Perikatan Nasional government has prepared its counter-arguments to the “Tamat Darurat” committee’s allegations More important than that, has the Perikatan Nasional government also done its own study to counter the allegation by the “Tamat Darurat” committee and prove that the Emergency DOES NOT have “negative impacts” on the rakyat and instead is positive?

King agrees to audience for opposition’s committee on emergency (FMT) – The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, has agreed to grant the opposition’s Tamat Darurat committee an audience to hand over a petition calling for the end to the emergency.
Committee chairman Khalid Samad (pic) said he received the letter from Istana Negara today but no date for the audience has been set yet.
“We are confident that a date will be set soon to allow us to have an audience with the Agong and hand over the petition. The negative effects of the emergency are getting clearer every day,” the Shah Alam MP said in a statement today.
This comes two days after several opposition leaders went to the palace to hand over a memorandum requesting for an audience with the King.

The aim of the audience is to inform the King of the negative impacts of the emergency and the need to call it off for the sake of the people.
Among those present were former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, Pejuang pro tem president Mukhriz Mahathir, PKR’s Tian Chua and Fahmi Fadzil and DAP’s Hannah Yeoh, Lim Lip Eng and Teresa Kok.
It was the second time that the Tamat Darurat committee had requested an audience with the King. The last attempt on March 26 was unsuccessful when they did not receive a reply from palace officials.
