Detractors Troll Pmx For Getting Syiok Over Light Stick Gift From South Korean Rapper G Dragon

FORMER Barisan Nasional (BN) strategic communication deputy director Datuk Eric See-To has triggered an avalanche of brickbats against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim after he teased the latter for getting “syiok (excited)” over an “official light stick” from South Korean rapper, songwriter and entrepreneur. G-Dragon.
For context, an elated PMX had earlier shared on various social media platforms that he had forgotten to share that “APEC leaders and I received a gift from G-Dragon the other day”.
Recall that PMX who is also the Finance Minister left for South Korea on Oct 28 to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting which was held from Oct 31 to Nov 1 in the southeastern coastal city of Gyeongju.
“PMX syiok (got excited) because he (and the APEC leadership) received an ‘official light stick’ as a gift from G-Dragon. He said he (PMX) hasn’t moved on from the gift,” jibed the opposition-slant See-To in a sarcasm-laden Facebook post.
“Just like he was happy when he received a used pen as a gift from Trump.”
While Madani backers wholeheartedly shared PMX’s excitement over the autographed gift – deeming it as cool K-Pop element which could fetch high re-sale value – his detractors prefer to harp on his sense of pettiness while seeing the bigger picture.
“He got a photo opportunity. He received an expensive and beautiful pen (from US president Donald Trump). But 34 million Malaysians pay the price. Auch!!! Such is the fate of Malaysia. Huhu ” lamented former UKM academician Zawawi Mohamed.

“Hello … The (national) debt is now RM1.3 tril. Interest on the debt alone is RM54 bil a year. All taxpayers contribute to paying these debts.”
Another pointed to the latest accusation the former head of the Royal Thai Army Radio and Television General A. Rangsi Kitiyansap who accused PMX as “a wolf in the sheep’s clothing for ASEAN”.

“JKOM (the Community Communications Department) and the PKR Youth need to file a police report for this insult. Please (also) use the Sedition Act 1948 that you are proud of.”
Few commenters lambasted PMX for sharing “petty stuff” which only reflects his “hunger for attention”.

Another could not believe her eyes – unsure whether to be sad or happy – with such “childish demeanour” which she claimed even PMX’s mentor-turned-nemesis Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad would never think of doing.
One commenter went on to describe PMX as being “really desperate for validation”. “He really has no class as a PM. Pathetic,” she snubbed

There are, however, a handful of Madani backers who did attempt to defend PMX by calming that See-To who regularly blogged under the moniker Lim Sian See “is jealous” with PMX and his Madani government.

However, this is the opposition playground, hence, pro-Madani elements will be swiftly subdued. – Focus Malaysia
