The two men on the motorcycle who attacked a woman in Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur. (Instagram pic)PETALING JAYA: Police are on the hunt for two men after they harassed a student at Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur, last night, with one of them also beating the complainant with a stick.
Sentul district police chief Beh Eng Lai confirmed to FMT that a report had been lodged over the matter and that police were “still hunting them down”.
He added that the complainant was a foreigner studying here in Malaysia, while investigations were being conducted under Sections 323 and 393 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and attempting to commit robbery.
“The incident took place in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kiaramas, Persiaran Dutamas,” said Beh.
This comes after the complainant took to Instagram to caution others about the incident last night, explaining how she and a friend were walking to Publika when they were catcalled by two men on a motorcycle.
She said they disregarded them at first but the men approached them on their motorcycles repeatedly, prompting the two women to run to a nearby school.

“My friend managed to escape but I didn’t. He slipped and fell as he took a swing at me with a large stick. I took that opportunity to beat him while he was down.
“He bit my arm and then his friend jumped off the bike to attack me, so I turned to run. I wasn’t fast enough and felt one of them hit me on my back with the stick.
“There was a security guard from the school who opened a gate for us to run in to safety but, at that point, the men escaped.
“I’ve filed a police report but please help me in sharing this to bring attention,” said the complainant. - FMT
