When Anwar hailed court sending Najib to jail as victory for rakyat
BobbyO: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is only interested in protecting his position today and not in delivering justice.
He talks about sympathy. Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has never admitted his guilt, even after nine judges and three distinguished courts have found him guilty.
Najib has never returned a dime that he has taken. Najib have no ounce of sympathy for the Malaysian taxpayers who are paying for the crime he committed.
It has been proven time and time again that the name chameleon suits Anwar.
As he has on numerous occasions made U-turns on the many promises he made, while dancing on stage.
As expected, he is making a completely different statement about Najib from the time he was part of the opposition.
How can the Malaysian people ever vote or trust such an individual the next time he comes around asking for their support?

The very man who put you in jail a second time, for the same unsavoury charge, is now the object of your sympathy. Very commendable.
But I do think you are doing it so that you can linger for a second term.
You know if you are out, the daggers will be pointed at you, at you just might face another unsavoury charge.

Always dig into the past videos and messages of any politicians and reveal their hypocrisy.
The politicians are consistent in one thing: being hypocrites. In this matter, Anwar is at the top of the list.
Coming back to this story, it is well known that Anwar needs to protect his position at all costs and by hook or by crook.
Therefore, whatever speeches and actions point to his agenda of guarding his position tightly.
He is even willing to worship the takers as long as they support him. Even a chameleon will be envious of him.
RZee: Najib has been convicted and jailed by a court of law.
While Anwar is entitled to play politics, he should not do this by scolding the rakyat for celebrating a just decision and having no empathy for a criminal.
He should be celebrating with the rakyat, or shut up. DAP should go back to fighting the cause of the people, just leave the coalition, field candidates for many, many seats and get elected.
MarioT: Anwar should have said, “I respect the court's decision to deny house arrest, but let us not sensationalise it, but keep it on a low profile.”
The rule by the people, of the people and by the people allows for our expression of appreciation when justice is truly served.
Pink: Anwar is not a chameleon but a dynamic politician.
Like businesses, politicians must adapt to changing external environments.
Manifestos are not cast in stone; what was relevant 10 years ago may no longer be valid today.
His critics are hypocritical. Many of them harshly criticised him when he did not implement free education, abolish the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), or remove highway tolls - policies that would have benefited millions of Malaysians.
Yet now, they obsessively focus on the non-recognition of the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), an issue that affects only a small minority. The more people criticise him, the more I support him.

It is the same for almost everyone, more prominently, politicians.
The same applies to their loyal supporters, who usually discard common sense and rational thinking when decisions do not favour them.
They swear to uphold the rule of law, but then easily change their tune when decisions go against them.
No wonder crooked, dishonest and unprincipled politicians thrive in our country.
They corruptly ruin the country and yet are hero-worshipped despite being found guilty by the courts and serving time in jail.
When this doesn't work, they shamelessly fall back into the rhetoric of race and religion.
Bahau: Anwar was an opposition leader then. Now he is the leader of a coalition government.
What he has done was necessary; otherwise, his government would not last.
For that matter, anyone in his position will do the same thing. This is politics after all.
Just: Well, very simple. One needs to adjust or go with the times. There are no permanent enemies in politics or anywhere in the world.
If he doesn't do that, he won't survive in politics for so long. What more can be said about the longevity of this government?
