Annuar Musa Slammed By Netizens Again For Failing To Wear Mask

The Ketereh MP posted a photo of himself on Twitter this morning posing without a face mask next to a roadside stall.
In the post, he said he was glad to have come across a stall near his house in Kuala Lumpur which sells dishes such as nasi tumpang and delicacies such as kueh lompat tikam — both from his home state of Kelantan.
However, he said the vendor did not have a licence.
“I hope DBKL (Kuala Lumpur City Hall) will not take any action. Haha. My supply will be cut off,” he said.
The post had received more than 400 replies as of 11.30am, with most of them pointing out that Annuar was flouting SOPs by not wearing a face mask in public.
The latest SOP breach comes after he was hit with a RM2,000 fine for his visit to former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in Kuala Lumpur last month and a RM1,000 fine for dining with six others in February — both offences under current Covid-19 SOPs.
In January, he was photographed jogging with two others without a mask. While sporting and recreational activities were restricted at that time, jogging was allowed in pairs.
“Again no mask! At this point you’re just arrogant,” said @lfc_eddie in reply to Annuar’s post.
“No licence — normalise it then. No mask — normalise it. This is the kind of leadership and governance this country had and perhaps now about to have!,” said @Shammy_TC.
“As it is, he’s not wearing a mask. And then he’s promoting the vendor, saying that he has no licence, and asking the authorities not to take action for his own benefit,” said @akak_pening.
“Where is your mask? Normal people like us cannot do this as we’ll get compounded or jailed… What are you trying to tell us?” asked @KyaryHime.
Another Twitter user, @nFARIIHAH, posted a photo of face masks being sold on Shopee and encouraged Annuar to buy them.
“Where is your mask? We know there is no government now, but that doesn’t mean there are no SOPs,” said @omnomo97.
Apart from last month’s fine for visiting former prime minister Abdullah and flouting movement restrictions, Annuar also paid a RM1,000 fine for dining at the same table with six others during a visit to a community centre project in Cheras.
Under SOPs at the time, only two people were allowed to a table when eating out. - FMT
