Zuraida Good Anwar Met Azmin But He Must Also Meet Pkr Supreme Council

PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin continues to insist that her president Anwar Ibrahim meet with elected members of the supreme council to kickstart a reconciliation process within the party
She was commenting on the meeting today between Anwar and his deputy  Azmin Ali in Parliament today which raised eyebrows as the duo was supposed to be at loggerheads
"Alhamdulilah, they met one-to-one in Parliament but what we are asking for is that he meets the elected representatives of the party supreme council," Zuraida, who is housing and local government minister, said in Penang today
Asked if she knew what the two leaders discussed, Zuraida replied in the negative

"So far, we have not had a serious discussion about the party," she added
Anwar had highlighted the meeting (above) on his Facebook page, saying he had coffee with PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Azmin, who is Economics Affairs Minister
Anwar, who is Port Dickson MP, said he met Azmin to discuss about the economy
The rift between Anwar and Azmin widened after a sex video implicating the latter surfaced, although he has vehemently denied being involved in the scandal
Azmin had also irked Anwar and his supporters when he claimed that those responsible for the video could have come from his own party
Azmin and Zuraida have not been attending internal party meetings, saying they had good reasons for their absence, while the latter has also pressed for a reconciliation meeting which Anwar had rejected
Zuraida was also asked if any disciplinary action would be taken against a local councillor who was detained in Melaka for alleged links with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE)
"No, the party's policy is that we must have proof before taking action," she said. - Mkini
