Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin recently said an announcement on toll collections was expected to be made soon
Speaking to reporters after a walkabout at a Tesco outlet here, Najib said the government’s intention to abolish toll collections, as stated in its 14th general election manifesto, should have been implemented immediately after Pakatan Harapan formed the federal government on May 9, 2018
“If they are doing it (announcing toll abolition) in this by-election period, it seems like they are trying to fish for votes and not doing what they had promised.”Muhyiddin was reported to have said that the ruling coalition would fully adhere to the rules and regulations set by the Election Commission and will not make any promises during the campaign period
Asked on why he did not take the chance to explain to Semenyih voters on his court cases, Najib said his cases were before the court and he could not comment too much on them

Najib made his second visit to Semenyih today
He spent 20 minutes at the Tesco outlet here, where shoppers took the opportunity to have selfies with him
Shoppers and Najib’s supporters were heard chanting, “Malu Apa Bossku” during his walkabout. This slogan has been adopted by Najib
On Feb 13, Najib had visited another Tesco outlet where he went shopping for groceries. He said then that he was asked by local leaders there to survey the situation
