When Traffic Jams Become Picnic Grounds Netizens Think This Is A Kelantanese Problem

THERE is something special about having one’s meal surrounded by the grasses and trees.
Whether it be a picnic upon the rolling fields or a vacant playground, there is much joy to be derived from such an informal setting.
Then there is also the smell of carbon monoxide coming from the thousands of car engines stalled on the road to give additional flavour to your nasi lemak, roti canai or whatever meal you are having at the side of the road.
Now here is a picnic with a twist, and there is nothing recreational about it, being an element of necessity.
Recently, a video on X went viral showing the line of vehicles returning to Pasir Mas, Kelantan from Kuala Lumpur.
What drew the attention of the masses was the fact that the traffic jam was so long that people decided to have their meals by the side of the road.
“The highway has started to jam today because many people are returning to their villages. It is like camping at the side of the highway,” said @kamaghul who brought the video to light.
Fellow netizens, however, have other ideas in mind. Where Kelantan is considered, expect some roasting to occur even though the topic could be something as innocent as a traffic jam.
“Once you go home, please don’t come back,” said @yessirrr11_ to which netizen @gajuspedas added that many people are stuffing themselves inside the developed states.

Observing the massive flow of population to Kelantan, @Eden_Ejard theorised that Shah Alam will not be experiencing traffic jam, likely because the city is home to a large number of Kelantanese people.
“Please don’t insult the people of Kelantan. They are very good, polite, clean, intelligent and dedicated people,” said @sultanindogCFC, a lone voice among the haters.

Also, several netizens pointed out the amount of garbage left behind by those “picnickers.”

“Whether you want to jam or to go camping, that is up to you. But don’t leave the rubbish behind. Do you think there is a servant to help you collect it?” said @zachkry.
Netizen @RokokMinna said they didn’t want to dirty the Vellfire car that they are using. “The in-laws want to see a car that is clean, so they can get the parking spot in the garage,” said @RokokMinna.— Focus Malaysia
