Were Dr Wan Azizah And Azmin Ali Born In Selangor Or Singapore
If Raja Bahrin’s mentality reflects that of PAN or Pakatan Harapan, then Malaysia is doomed. They are so tribal, feudalistic and parochial. They are just like the Taliban tribes in Afghanistan who have been killing each other for hundreds of years just because you come from a different kampong.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
The Chairman of Pakatan Harapan Terengganu, Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad, is not only a racist who believes only Malays must be allowed opportunities in Terengganu, but the Malays must be Terengganu born-and-bred. Malays born outside Terengganu must not be allowed any opportunities in Terengganu.
Is this the official policy of Pakatan Harapan? Can only a Penang-born Malay become the Chief Minister of Penang or can a Melaka-born Chinese also become Penang’s Chief Minister?
Even someone born in Singapore can become the Menteri Besar of Selangor
What about Selangor? Can only a Selangor-born Malay become the Menteri Besar of Selangor or are Singapore-born also allowed to become Selangor’s Menteri Besar?
And what about the 22 parliamentarians and 56 state assemblypersons or ADUN in Selangor? Are all 78 Selangor Wakil Rakyat Selangor-born or Selangor-born Malays?
Was Selangor Wakil Rakyat Dr Wan Azizah Ismail born in Selangor or Singapore?
Yes, a large number of the Selangor Wakil Rakyat are not Selangor-born or Selangor-born Malays. Some are not even Malaysian-born. So why is this an issue for Raja Bahrin?
The more than RM1 billion new Terengganu Istana is not designed by a Terengganu-born Malay architect. Is that a problem for Raja Bahrin? Has he ever condemned the Sultan for giving the job to a Mat Saleh not born in Terengganu?
The architect for the new Terengganu Istana is not a Terengganu-born Malay
At one time Raja Bahrin monopolised all the government jobs in Terengganu. Any government job was automatically given to him until the other architects did not even bother competing. His cable was so strong that from the 1980s he sapu all the state government jobs and made millions.
Okay, Raja Bahrin’s father may be a Perak Raja, but his mother was the sister to the late Sultan of Terengganu. Hence he had kekebalan or immunity and could treat Terengganu like he owned the state.
However, since then he fell out of favour with the Palace and state jobs started to slow down. That was when Raja Bahrin decided to change his profession and became a politician.
Raja Bahrin made his millions from government jobs
Now Raja Bahrin fights for justice, equality, fairness and all those other ‘civilised values’. When he was making millions monopolising government contracts ‘civilised values’ did not enter his mind. He was very happy with nepotism, cronyism and feudalism. Now he is suddenly a democrat and a republican.
In the 1980s, Raja Bahrin was very critical of what he called ‘Palace Corruption’. He condemned the “Gang of Four” — Menteri Besar Wan Mokhtar Ahmad, Dato’ Yusoff, Dato’ Azhar and Dato’ Yong a.k.a. ‘Tengku Yong’ — for what Raja Bahrin said was “using the Palace to perpetuate corruption”.
Since Raja Bahrin had ‘palace protection’, the Gang of Four could not ‘handle’ him so they gave him all the government jobs to shut him up and after that Raja Bahrin fell silent. And now that he cannot get any more government jobs he screams justice and all that nonsense.
Why does Raja Bahrin not speak out against UK resident Clare Brown as well?
Raja Bahrin says someone like me who lives in the UK has no business commenting on Terengganu. But someone like Clare Rewcastle Brown who also lives in the UK is welcome to comment on Terengganu and accuse the Terengganu Istana of being involved with Jho Low and 1MDB.
Has Raja Bahrin ever criticised or condemned Clare Brown, Sarawak Report or Pakatan Harapan for linking the Terengganu Istana to Jho Low and 1MDB? Has Raja Bahrin ever said Clare Brown who lives in England should not comment on Terengganu? Has Raja Bahrin ever said only Selangor-born Malays can become a Wakil Rakyat or Menteri Besar in Selangor and be employed in Selangor GLCs and state government agencies?
If Selangor is reserved for only Selangor-born Malays, probably 90% of the people employed in Selangor would need to be sacked. We will need to hold many by-elections in the 78 state and parliament seats all over Selangor if the Parliamentarians and ADUNS are asked to resign to make way for Selangor-born Malays.
Raja Bahrin has the tribal, feudal and parochial attitude of the Taliban
If Raja Bahrin’s mentality reflects that of PAN or Pakatan Harapan, then Malaysia is doomed. They are so tribal, feudalistic and parochial. They are just like the Taliban tribes in Afghanistan who have been killing each other for hundreds of years just because you come from a different kampong.
You can take the Malay out of the kampong but you cannot take the kampong out of the Malay. Even a RM5,000 suit cannot change the mind of a kampong bumpkin who is still living in the past.
Hello, brader, today we live in a borderless global society lah. Tukarlah sikit otak ketinggalan zaman tu. Even the Sultan looks outside Terengganu to find an architect to design his new palace. And see how canggih that Istana is. So, was that not a right decision?
