IF WE ARE ALREADY ON THE SLIPPERY SLOPE, ANOTHER ONE YEAR OF WAITING FOR A PRU IS SILLY WHEN ALL THE MAJOR PARTIES HAVE HAD THEIR CHANCES TO SHOW THEIR HANDS! UMAR MUKHTAR
Three PMs and three ruling coalitions later, in the four years, we are worse off than when we started! It shows the quality of the people we have in politics!
Or like everything else, are we going to blame it on Covid 19?
Or let’s make our choice soon, for better or for worse! Let’s not wait, in the state that we are in where the government is so dysfunctional where it matters. The country will be like Sri Lanka, before we know it!
Some opposition leaders say that they are not ready yet! When you are not ready after the ample opportunity to show what you are really made of, then just quit politics, go and play with your grandchildren before they get a choice of whether or not to avoid you!
As it is, two things are clear! One, UMNO, which we supposed to be fed up of, will be a dominant winner. Two, the opposition can never get together unless we wait for the old farts to die off.
But is that sufficient excuse to procrastinate?
In politics, ideally, you are there to serve, whether or not you win elections. Tell that to your boss, Anwar Ibrahim, Rafizi! He’ll be approaching eighty if you choose to wait to win in another five years! He wants to be PM, brother. Sian dia!
And UMNO’s rule? It will be more of the same!
We’d love that, won’t we?
