Pakatan S Loss Does Not Translate To Umno S Win
OPPOSITION LEADERS MAY EVEN KISS EACH OTHER ON THE LIPS IN PRU15, BUT HOW DOES THAT IMPRESS THE FENCE-SITTERS OF THEIR PLANS, IN THE SAME OLD DISGUISE?
UMAR MUKHTAR
There is this mistaken assumption that if the opposition is not fractious, this unity will result in the ousting of UMNO! Is PRU a beauty line-up?
Have they forgotten about presenting their new plans of ruling this country? The voters have just been duped not too long ago by con-men who had promised the moon and the stars in pretend ‘bibles’!
The con-men who later misbehaved unashamedly beyond our expectations! So are we expected to be turned on by this vision of geriatric sex acted by the same old farts?
Isn’t it a shame that this time around, with the same proverbial wounded lion as the same adversary, they may not be able win the trust of the fence-sitters? Just how bankrupt of ideas can they be?
Replays are not on, man! Just because UMNO may be filled with undesirable elements, that does not automatically make the opposition suitable replacements!
Especially when their memories are still fresh on wrongful prioritising of ICERD and the Rome Statutes, not wanting to fight for Pulau Batu Puteh, withdrawing of subsidies for fishermen and the like, inability of apprehending pig-faced Jho Low, selling of government assets to favoured parties as if we are totally broke, and many other poor governances!
Reforms? What reforms, when their amateurish DPM was not even well-versed with sufficient statecraft to work on with stakeholders on a fixed minimum marriageable age for Muslim girls! Just left hanging!
So maybe 22 months is too short a time to think of effective and relevant reforms, so let’s give them 60 more months! Then maybe capital punishment will finally be abolished, and the Speaker of the House straightened out!
So far not any more ‘bibles’ coming out of the elusive Big-tent, only dinosaurs ‘on-again, off-again’ sickening romance!
Maybe, then we will see ‘on the edge’ reforms with barriers broken from the tradition.
