Umno Infighting Stop Superseding Party President Puad Tells Annuar

Discontent within Umno against Annuar Musa further intensifies, with another veteran party leader joining the bandwagon to tick off the BN secretary-general.
Two days ago, Annuar told an interview which was aired on Umno Online Facebook account that Umno had forgotten that it came from a party that lost the last general election, and had to be in the opposition. 
The Ketereh MP said this in the context of the party's demand for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) to give Umno a better treatment in the government.
Puad Zarkashi (above), who is a member of Umno supreme council, took it to Facebook today where he questioned Annuar, who is BN secretary-general, for acting like he is the spokesperson for Bersatu.
"Annuar made it look like Umno is being too defensive. Like Umno is a bad boy. Why does he need to be the spokesperson for another party?" he asked.
Puad also addressed Annuar's remarks about Umno having lost the 14th general election.
He said that while it was true, Umno was still the party that won the most number of seats compared to others.
It could not form a government just because Umno could not gather allies with enough seats, while Pakatan Harapan managed to do so with their coalition.

"But the Harapan government collapsed after 22 months and the PN government was born. PN government is a new administration. It is a collective effort. So it does not arise who lost or who won the election although Umno is still the party with the most number of seats.
"Thus, as a new coalition, it must be shared in a new way. That is what the Umno president said in the Dewan Rakyat, that there is no issue of who owes who," said Puad.
The politician was referring to the remarks by Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in Parliament on Nov 19, when the latter urged for the Dewan Rakyat to allow the motion of confidence on Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. 
Puad also rebuked Annuar over the latter's claim that he was the "sole negotiator" for Umno in the recent Sabah state election. 
"If this was so, is Annuar admitting that he had failed as Umno negotiator? Because eight of the seats won by Bersatu (in Sabah) were seats which they won in the 14th general election on Umno's ticket. Why did these seats go to Bersatu? This was the source of the problem."
Puad also lambasted Annuar for being silent when Muhyiddin named Bersatu's Hajiji Noor as a candidate for Sabah chief minister after their Gabungan Rakyat Sabah won the state election.
"So who is the one that does not have political sincerity? That is why, do not supersede the president in policy and tactical matters.
"And do not be the information chief for another party".
Earlier today, another Umno veteran, Nur Jazlan Mohamed, also fired a salvo against Annuar over the same issue.
The Johor Umno deputy chief claimed that Umno leaders and members were tired of Annuar, and he believed that this was the reason why Annuar was replaced by Ahmad Maslan as Umno secretary-general. - Mkini
