Transparency is a major key for fighting corruption

Too many politicians, government officials, and business cronies are hiding behind opaque walls.

Instead whistleblowers and those who expose corruption can be prosecuted or subject to SLAPP actions (Strategic Litigation Against Public Participation). While the whistleblowers are being dealt with by corrupt actors, the elites are making billions off the government.

The recent trip to South America became comical after it was blatantly admitted in public, without any remorse, that corporations sponsored part of the trip, while the government spokesman denied it. The whole storm in a tea cup came to light when a picture of the daughter came up, indicating she was a member of the entourage.
    
The anti-corruption people have previously stated that around one third of the national budget is lost through leakage each year. This highlights the lack of transparency and the corruption it covers up.

There is an excessive extra tax all taxpayers are subsidizing to fund this corruption. If there was no such corruption the peoples’ personal tax burden would be a lot less, budgets would be in balance and the country's public debt would be a lot less.

The government could have given the people free medical services, free education and provided  welfare nets for the needy, if there was more transparency. If there was more transparency, poverty could be almost totally eliminated from the country.

This is the tragedy that is being perpetuated by the government. The poor are getting poorer, and the rich are getting richer.

While the high and mighty are revelling in non-transparency, the incoming Trump administration is getting ready to rip apart and expose corruption. Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk are starting a weekly podcast exposing the corrupt in America. Corruption busters. They suffer less risk of the corrupt elite charging them with sedition and trump up SLAPP actions against them.

That’s a tale of two different civilizations.
