When you debate with hardcore Pakatan Harapan supporters, you can see they believe they are right because they believe they are right. Logic and common sense do not apply to their argument. And they will always come out with one excuse or another to support their argument. Whether their reasoning makes sense or not is not of any consequence.
When you point out Pakatan Harapan’s failures, they will argue that Pakatan Harapan was in government for only 22 months, so you cannot expect “today get married tomorrow have babies.”
Well, first of all, we are not saying we expect babies the morning after the wedding. We are saying after 22 months still nothing, not after 22 hours still nothing.
Secondly, it was Pakatan Harapan — not Barisan Nasional, Muafakat Nasional or Perikatan Nasional — who made all those promises. And they made promises such as “hari ini kita menang, esok pagi kita buat. Saya ulang, hari ini kita menang, esok pagi kita buat.”

Pakatan Harapan made many promises and then said they are impossible to deliver They also promised to deliver ten things in the first 100 days. And they whacked the government for not doing this, that and the other. And they said they will do what the government failed to do once Pakatan Harapan comes to power.
So, all this came from them. They said, “Vote for us and this is what you will get…the next day, within the first 100 days, within the first year, etc.”
Then, after winning the election, they turned around and said the promises were not realistic in the first place. They made those promises thinking they will never win the election. Even Barisan Nasional could not do all these things, they argued.
And now, if Perikatan Nasional does some of those things that Pakatan Harapan promised but never delivered, they will say Perikatan Nasional stole those ideas from Pakatan Harapan and that Perikatan Nasional does not have ideas of their own.

Anwar wants PKR to be the second largest party in Sabah after Warisan They argue it is not fair to compare 22 months of Pakatan Harapan rule with 63 years of Barisan Nasional rule. Actually, it was only 45 years of Barisan Nasional rule but Pakatan Harapan keeps saying it was 63 years.
But the argument should not be to compare 22 months of Pakatan Harapan rule with 45 years (or 63 years) of Barisan Nasional rule. It should be to compare what Pakatan Harapan promised to what they actually delivered. The 22 months, 45 years, 63 years, etc., is not the issue. It is promises versus actual delivery.
Warisan is going to be the main party in the coming Sabah state election. Warisan is a local Sabah party that fights for Sabah and Sabahan interests. And they are saying “Sabah for Sabahans” (just like Sarawakians say “Sarawak for Sarawakians”) and that “Malayan” parties should be rejected and be kept out of Sabah (meaning Umno, Bersatu, PAS and Perikatan Nasional).
Fair enough. Maybe Sabahans hate Malaysia and wish for Sabah to be part of Sulu instead of part of Malaysia. But what about PKR, DAP and Pakatan Harapan? Are they not also “Malayan” parties? And do they share Warisan’s or Sabahans’ hopes and aspirations? Do PKR, DAP and Pakatan Harapan share Warisan’s and Sabahans’ mission and vision?

Saya ulang! Well then, ulang again Warisan and Sabahans should ask PKR, DAP and Pakatan Harapan to openly declare their stand regarding the main issues of concern to Sabahans — such as autonomy, MA63, the 20-Point Agreement and the 20% oil royalty.
Not only state whether PKR, DAP and Pakatan Harapan share the same hopes and aspirations as Warisan and Sabahans, but also state whether they are prepared to deliver what Warisan and Sabahans are seeking.
Anwar Ibrahim was in government for 16 years and he was the Finance Minister in 1991 and Deputy Prime Minister in 1993. But he never layan what Sabah wanted. And now they argue that Anwar was NOT the Prime Minister, so he could do nothing.
But Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad argued that ALL decisions are Cabinet decisions and are collectively made. Hence whatever decisions the Cabinet made while Mahathir was the Prime Minister and Anwar was in the Cabinet binds Anwar as well. Mahathir did not run Malaysia alone. He had a Cabinet and Anwar was part of the Cabinet.

Anwar’s people are shifting the blame by saying that Mahathir and not Anwar was the Prime Minister No, they cannot try to absolve Anwar and shift the blame entirely to Mahathir. And if Mahathir is really solely to blame, why appoint him the Prime Minister for a second round on 10th May 2018? They say everything that went wrong is because of Mahathir. And then they appoint him the Prime Minister, yet again. So, who in the end is to be blamed?
