As I shared earlier in my previous entry the best weight loss teas, and green tea is one of it, so let's see the benefits of green tea that we should know.

Green tea helps brain functionGreen tea has the amino acid L-theanine that increases the production of alpha waves in the brain. Studies show that the caffeine and L-theanine together help improve brain function. They help reduce anxiety and stress.
Green tea has antioxidantsAs green tea is an excellent source of antioxidants, it helps lower risks of various types of cancer, such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, etc.

I have diabetes genes from my mom's side. My mom has been a diabetes patient for more than 20 years. And she was on insulin since two years ago. And both my elder brothers also diagnose with Type II Diabetes.
The reason why I always want to control my sugar craving is because I do not want to inherit this. It is ok to drink plain water, or tasteless water rather than to have diabetes. I just cannot stand to see my mom to get her pills and it hurts to see her fighting with diabetes.
I have GDM during my 2 pregnancies, and the doctor said since I have diabetes genes, I need to really care about what I eat and drink and ensure to have a healthy diet otherwise I'll probably end up having diabetes as well just like my mom and my two brothers.

But do not depends with green tea for your oral health, make sure you brush your teeth twice daily and visit your dentist yearly.
Green tea has its own health benefits. But depending only with green tea, let say weight loss, is not a good preference. You need to control your calorie intake and ensure to eat healthy food.
