Taiwan Halal Products Bubble Tea Sharing Event At Setia Spice Convention Centre Penang

Last weekend,  I was invited to attend Taiwan Halal & Bubble Tea Products Sharing Event at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang. It is an event scheduled for the second day of Taiwan Expo 2019 (Oh yes, if you still haven't know this, the Taiwan Expo 2019 was held on the 5th July and 6th July, the exhibition at the pavilion featured best HALAL products specially made in Taiwan). Malaysia with more than 200 million Muslims, Taiwan had launched their HALAL products here in Malaysia, as the Taiwanese Government has put significant effort and resources in developing its HALAL industry (we are one of the most important target markets for Taiwan to develop their HALAL industry).

Yeh, President & CEO of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) (Founded Taiwan Halal Center under guidance of Bureau of Foreign Trade); Mr Nick K. Ni, Chief of Staff of Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and Mr Mohamad Firhan Ghouse, General Manager of Penang International Halal Hub (Halal Penang). Taiwan has rise as one of the best Halal products manufacturers for their high quality Halal products.
Product Sharing SessionDo you know that as of today, Taiwan has more than 1000 halal-certified manufacturers and eateries? According to the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) published by Mastercard in 2018, Taiwan ranked as the fifth best travel destinations for Muslims under non- OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) category
Other than participating in Taiwan Expo 2019, the Taiwan Halal Center also currently collaborating with a renowned Malaysian hypermarket chain, MYDIN to feature hundreds of Taiwan Halal products. They had launched their collaboration with MYDIN which is known as "MYDIN TAIWAN HALAL FOOD FAIR"
During the  event, we were introduced to five main exhibitors at the Halal pavilion,  including Shih Chen Foods (3.15pm Milk Tea Series), Yilan Anyoung LOHAS (Sant’e Premium Silver Essence), FuFann Enterprise, Kuojer Enterprise (bubble tea raw material) and Yung Soon Lih Food Machine (multi-function bubble tea maker). They provide halal products such as instant milk tea, premium fish essence, coconut paste and few products to make bubble tea (raw materials and also equipment). 
Ladies, believe me or not...you can also get halal beauty products from Taiwan! So i was introduced to a few Taiwanese Brands with Halal certification such as Bravura, Maskingdom, Aqpar and Bio Jourdeness (Naruko was there too, they are from Taiwan too oh emm geee! i did not know that lol).  I had received some samples from the beautician so i guess i will share with you the review of the products in the next post. Can't wait to try them out!

(Floor Plan)There are many other booths that i have visited during the event (trust me not, there's about 140 exhibitors from Taiwan invited for the Taiwan Expo 2019!). Oh hey i visited the Taiwan Indigenous Hub and got this cute blindfold! hihi 

There are too many things to share, so i guess with the advancement in Halal industry and good relationship between Malaysia and Taiwan, this provide considerable room for further cooperation between both countries. Thumbs up for the great event and thanks for having me!
