Strong Third Force Needed To Challenge Political System
Since the Pakatan Harapan coalition took over the government, there has been a glaring silence on fundamental human rights issues in Parliament.
PKR and DAP, once vocal advocates for reforms, now appear to have abandoned their promises and gone silent on fundamental human rights issues.
Critical concerns such as equality in opportunities for the marginalised Indian community, deaths in custody, extrajudicial killings, freedom of speech and assembly, and police abuses are no longer being raised - neither in Parliament nor to the government by elected representatives.
There seems to be a culture of deliberate blind obedience - to safeguard their well-entrenched privileged status and positions in government.
ADSThe people are increasingly disillusioned with the current political coalitions, which continually offer excuses for their lack of progress, break their promises of reform, and, out of fear of losing the next election, adopt policies that cater to only a specific segment of society.
There is a rising demand for a formidable third force to challenge the entrenched political system and provide Malaysians with a true alternative to the status quo. This force would serve as the “new voice Of reason”.

The Malaysian Advancement Party (MAP) remains committed to:
i) Advocate for the independent election of key institutional heads including the offices of parliamentary speaker, Election Commission chairperson, public prosecutor, auditor general, MACC chief commissioner, Judicial Appointment Commission members, city mayors, and councillors;
ii) Uphold fundamental human rights;
iii) Promote clean and efficient governance free from a culture of mega projects and the unnecessary wastage of public funds on non-essential programmes;
iv) A balanced civil service intake to ensure fair representation, social cohesion, and public trust by reflecting the diversity of the population;
v) Invest in genuine initiatives that foster unity and deepen understanding among diverse cultures and communities.
However, MAP recognises that the fight for justice, democracy, and equality is larger than us, and we cannot bring change alone.
We are ready to work with any party, leader, or movement -regardless of ideological differences - who is committed to genuine reform.
MAP is willing to facilitate discussions and bring together diverse voices in a roundtable to explore ways to push for real political change. We also welcome any independent leader or group to take the initiative in organising such efforts.
Most importantly, we must work together to break the monopoly of coalitions and create a new, credible alternative that truly represents the people’s aspirations.
MAP stands ready to support any genuine effort to break the political monopoly for the sake of the country. - Mkini
